Never having followed the case at the time, so regarding this simply as a piece of entertainment, I was repelled by it. Knowing the outcome before the fact as a viewer, I would still have felt more engaged if it was presented as the information unfolded in real life. The parody of how Pam’s character was portrayed takes away from the reality of the brutality and horror of a unleashed sociopath. I found Pam’s portrayal so grating, I could not take in the full first episode, though I wanted to give it a chance.
