So far my family likes this show. Not totally an exact representation of life with cancer (my son is currently going through chemo therapy for leukemia) but it’s a nice light on showing what they face from an emotional aspect.
Things should include in season 2: meds, the long inpatient stays, multiple iv’s and lines, picc line or port, tiredness and pain. I know that Alexa is in maintenance but have flashbacks or scenes depicting the hardship of frontline.
Then there’s the parents side of things who should ALWAYS be exhausted, or at least a majority of the time. Up to your wrists in syringes and meds on a daily basis. Emotional, mental and physical pain. I tell you, the dad on this show is no where NEAR as close to the support I know that most CK (cancer kids) dads truly are. And the brothers signs of support and love are nonexistent.
Anyway.. I still enjoyed this show :) looking forward to season 2, just wish theyed portray the struggles more, not just Alexa but the whole family in season 2 and beyond! Lots of CK parents are open to be interviewed I would think, I know I am!
