I"m gonna have to go against the flood of positive reviews right now and say that this movie was a letdown. From the beginning, the plot was almost entirely too predictable. Barbie has an existential crisis in itself but Ken completely dominated the film. There was an element of surprise in the way that the movie completely focused on Ken and the patriarchy, something I was not expecting. There was no strong message other than "patriarchy is bad and feminism is good" and it failed to evoke emotion in me. This may be more suitable for a younger audience, not for someone seeking an intellectually enlightening film. Now I'm off to watch Oppenheimer!
