My kids originally watched this show and I liked it in the early 70s , but now I'm thrilled to find it on daily between 5 and 6 on MeTV. What a pleasant and fun break from depressing news fueled by politics and the pandemic. I love the interactions between Pete Malloy and Jim Reed, and their classy policing in the neighborhoods they know quite well and I occasionally recognize. I love the big old cars, the empty streets, the good citizens and bad crooks who make for riveting foot pursuits. When I go into the kitchen to prepare for dinner, I have a smile on my face and a warm feeling in my gut. Malloy and Reed were easy on the eye and the ear, and I got a kick of finding Bing Crosby's brother (I think) on the force. Fun also to see what housewives wore and how kids entertained themselves. Adam-12 has a rejuvenating effect on me and I gladly admit to being hooked on the show..
