I wasn’t a fan of the show since it inception. But after I watched a few episodes, I was hooked forever. Each episode has relevant stories that other shows never addressed. Think most senior adults can identify with their portrayal of the issues concerning the elder population, family, romance, homosexuality, etc.
Honestly, I’ve watched the show from seasons 1 to 5. Never a disappointing episode. And I’ve reverse to season 1 to season 5 again. I’ve watched the entire seasons about 20 times....probably more. I can safely and wholeheartedly proclaimed I’m a true and ardent G&F fan.
I’m so disappointed that season 7 will be the end. I’m still hoping and praying the show will return for many seasons to come. I was very upset and sad when I read the news.
Other tv shows might have the same theme but the actors ALL are excellent. It’s Jane Fonda and
Lily Tomlin at their best roles. Their portrayals of dramatic and comedic persons are the vital part of the show. The other co-stars are first rate.
I questioned myself why am I constantly watching all the seasons over and over again. Finally, the question was answered. The show reminds me and my best girlfriend who passed away. She and I were the main characters. In a way, I’m watching my girlfriends memories. So, the show has bittersweet times for me.
By some miracle will be renewed, I shall watch it again and again streaming from Netflix. I’ve watched other eclectic shows of various genres but my heart is G&F forever.
Please, please, please. Please renew the show. I foresee many episodes that will address other issues concerning the senior citizens. So, I urge Netflix that continuation will be fantastic. The overall rating is 98%. Please don’t disappoint the fans !!
An ardent fan,
