Yet another noteworthy Spike Lee joint. There's a lot to like about this film despite the fact that it runs a little long. It entertains and leaves you with something to think about. It's worth noting that the general plot is uncannily similar to an indie film from a couple of years ago called MIA A Great Evil, about college kids that go to Vietnam in search of lost gold and stumble into soldiers missing from the Vietnam War.
