I have to say, of all the Star Trek shows this is the closest to the original series. In so many ways. IMHO this is the best season 1 Star Trek spin off show, with the original show maybe just edging it. The cast is amazing, with maybe the exception of George Sam Kirk. In fact my only grievance is the incredible Anson Mount, who does a great job of playing Christopher Pike. Should of played James Tiberias Kirk instead. He reeks of Kirk with his mannerism, his physical build & even has a passing resemblance to William Shatner. The weekly storylines has me transfixed to my tv. I cannot wait for season 2. I love the way they are edging towards the original cast. This a great show as I said & long may it continue, to boldly go where no show has gone b4.
