This was a decent action movie in the "Die Hard" genre. Sam Heughan provides a nuanced performance as Tom Buckingham, a SAS officer with an unusual set of problems. The scene between Tom and Grace sitting in the car near the end of the movie is actually compelling in terms of exploring the similarities and differences of the characters. Hannah John-Kamen depicts a surprisingly feisty love interest that is not the usual "damsel in distress". The movie holds the viewers' interest. Because it has a bit of a Jack Reacher feel to it, SAS Red Notice will undoubtedly result in a series of sequels.
