Perfect. Wouldn't change anything in this film.

A slow burner. Don't fret regarding the lack of Escobar or Colombia. Also, don't worry about the first 3 slow episodes. It takes a different spin altogether and picks up pace, and once it picks up pace, it picks up and how. The characters get really fleshed out, and with multiple layers. The production is brilliant too. Not to mention the performances which are top notch. Yes, it lacks a Wagner Moura level Escobar character which is probably never gonna get matched. But the world building here is so refreshing that you forget about Pablo himself. Highly recommended.

If Charles Dickens had sex with Tolstoy and both of them wrote about America, then this would be it. A slow burn masterpiece with perfectly written characters. The Wire is not near perfect, it's perfect.
