NOT SOMETHING TO BE SHOWN ON A SUNDAY NIGHT FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY PARTICULAR IF NOBODY HAS TO GET UP EARLY THE NEXT MORNING FOR GOING TO WORK OR SCHOOL. i have been in this district many years ago, probably nearly 60 yrs.ago, on a return trip per boat coming from Harwich to the Netherlands, by train into Amsterdam as a stopover visiting the Ryks Museum and other places for 3 days after spending time for the same in London, just more time. So money became tight and arriving with the night boat guys in clean white jackets pick up people for over night stays reasonable in small hotels. It ended up on the 3rd floor in a house were the street windows were used for the human wares. Ok, I was very young and accepted being there and nicely treated by the girls but just going by when they had figured out I was a hotel guest. Sorry for them, but girls did not have many choices then and probably still or many coming from other continents or Eastern Europeans states. But I think Holland does not need that kind of business even in the old times any harbour / port city had a section in town for sailors coming of ships. Been in the Navy, I learned to know many ports but I wasn't ever a customer because with it also we have rapes etc. when some guys can't get what they want. Actually protected a girl in a situation and every Officer tried to re-enlist me for more years, choice of pretty good commandoes etc.
