Awful. Aimless. Extremely disappointing. I don’t see how anyone could enjoy this—it’s difficult to even stay awake at times during the meaningless “character development”. The first two films are embarrassed at this debacle. This felt like a forgettable TWD ripoff that they slapped the “28” title on for no reason. I felt like I was part of a social experiment or being trolled. The final 3 minutes, when you think nothing could get worse and you’re just waiting and hoping for it to end, the stakes are raised to a level of stupidity it’s laughable. I’ve been a fan of horror and thriller movies for 40 years, and 28 Days Later I hold in the highest esteem for modern horror. This isn’t even a good stand-alone shitty summer horror; I don’t think it’s even horror. Just a shitty drama? Even on its own outside the franchise, removing all expectations, it fails to make any coherent attempt at anything enjoyable. Do not spend money to see this, if you die before you waste two hours to see it for free, I assure you, you’re better off happy and ignorant believing that this third installment doesn’t exist. I’m not a critic, I never write reviews, but this was so disappointing, I felt a civil duty to give my opinion the night I got home, in hopes I could save just one person, 2 hours of their life.

This is a faux-horror movie for children at best. This is just, awful, top to bottom. The entire film is laughable to the point I was convinced it was a comedy. Just poor on every level— plot, story, acting as a whole. I am clueless how any person or any ratings service can say this film has any watchability.

Empty. Dull. Misleading without much direction.

Well-made, disturbing, raw, sad, and closes the door on a lifetime of unanswered questions.
