Don’t believe the haters. I doubt most have even read the book. Yes, Pascoe’s work probably needs a bit of an edit, perhaps beyond the budget of a small label, but that shouldn’t stop those with an open mind. Any non fiction text that includes a 16 page bibliography must contain some kernels of truth. Personally I found the text riveting and essential for those that want a more nuanced understanding of Australian history. The idea that western culture can learn from traditional cultures is not new but worth repeating, again and again until the linear thinking, short sighted, self interested destroyers of planet earth finally get the message.
