This movie is an idiotic portrayal of the apparent buffoons that run Americas nuclear response team. I was more angry at the portrayal of these men and women in charge of our defense than anything. They display a sense of urgency akin to looking for a lost credit card vs. an imminent nuclear strike. With 8 minutes to impact most of the team is outside crying or telling people to go home or calling their family or holding hands talking about how they can still propose to their girlfriend later. What member of this team would be allowed to do any of these things ??? The entire missile interceptor team in Alaska is literally not even in the room at this juncture because they’re all crying, puking, talking to their mom etc. hello?? What if they launch another missile ?? It’s a wildly unprofessional and sickeningly dumb portrayal of what are undoubtedly some of the most highly trained and disciplined professionals on the planet. Utterly absurd

Virtually nothing happens in this movie other than the depiction of a seal platoon as cowardly and incompetent, which I couldn’t imagine as ever being true given the level of training those men go through. I thought the film was unwatchable

95% of these reviews are fake but the show is garbage. It has no idea what it wants to be. Zero attachment to characters and just a series of idiotic incidents you’re supposed to accept as normal for the year 2125. I haven’t been this disappointed since the star wars sequels. It was lazy, sloppy and rushed. They are banking on cameos and not the actual writing. It’s just not funny with a lazy, cliche plot

This show is just a play on the current political atmosphere and one that critics wouldn’t dare say anything negative about. There’s a reason audiences hate it and critics “love” it - check Rotten tomatoes
