Really poor launch, basically ignored the alpha feedback (which was only a few weeks long, by the by) and went straight to launch. Literally. It's a mess. It's so messy, they kept the original game mode in case you can't play EDO. Which most can't at this stage. Don't buy yet. Wait for it to iron out its problems, supposedly with console launch sometime Fall 2021. Unfortunately, this has also impacted the base game and Horizons as they are all linked (somehow?) so if considering buying into Elite overall, again, wait. It's all a mess right now. Once sorted, base game is pretty great and Horizons did ok, too. Hopefully EDO will stabilize soon. Until then, don't recommend buying at all.
