Stumbled on this by pure chance and my mind was blown out of the water. Amazing sfx, subjectively amazing art style and a sound score that complements the crazy and eyegasmic nature of the movie perfectly. A masterpiece in story, focusing on the characters and racing an by they take part in said race. It is a must watch in my opinion for anime and non-anime fans alike.
