Love the show with Edie Falco as Tommy, this role is one Edie can do well as a strong actress. But having served in the Military (Army) showing any type of rank incorrectly really burns. In one scenes we have Blake Sullivan (Adelaide Clemens) speaking with an LAPD officer who is wearing the rank of LAPD sergeant II on the sleeve of his uniform, but on his collar he is wearing a set of captain bars. I do not know of any special reason an office would be wearing two rank insignia.
