This is a great movie that made me cry from start to finish. I have watched many movies relating to bullying and how it leads to suicide. But this movie is particularly a special one for me as it also tackles the struggles of a bully and how Ishida’s role as a bully got him bullied. This movie made me realize that there’s this cycle of being a bully to being bullied. I realized that when Ishida realized that everything he did to Nishimiya also happened to him as the blame of being a bully was only put under him even though his other classmates had contributions on bullying Nishimiya. I got to understand how Ishida tries to fix what he did wrong by giving back to Nishimiya with good intentions but eventually also damages his relations with his other classmates. I liked how Nishimiya was the way Ishida realized that he is trying to fix it the wrong way by just focusing on Nishimiya. That’s also the reason why I believe people like Nishimiya, people that tries to forgive their bullies are also the one helping them to start a new life and change. In terms of the romantic side, I really thought that it was going somewhere when Nishimiya confessed her feelings to Ishida, but since he never understood what she was trying to say, it just been stuck there in that spot. Nishimiya never tried to confess again Ishida, not knowing anything, thought that it wasn’t a big deal when he told Nishimiya’s sister what he thought she said. However, I think it was a better choice for her sister to not tell him the truth as that time there was still no clear closure but what happened between the main characters during their elementary school days. And also it’s better for them to develop their feelings slowly because it would’ve been a wrong timing if Ishida understood Nishimiya’s confession. I don’t really want to give more spoilers, but what I’m trying to say is that this movie is a great movie that talks about communication struggles between people with disability and people with not and how it leads to people bullying or being bullied which would also lead to those people to have suicidal thoughts and actually tries to end their life. This movie ended on the good side as both sides were able to reconcile and were able to get over their weaknesses using each other and teaching each other. My rating will definitely be 100/10 PS: I would recommend watching it with a roll of tissue paper. You’ll definitely need it if you plan on watching it because I was bawling 😂
