this book emphasizes mindfulness and led me to study more on mindfulness which has changed my life. I used to scarf down my food and clean my plate every time I ate. That was how I was raised. I didn't even think to process if I was full or how the food tasted. As a result I overate consistently which made me extremly obese. I also tried to go the other extreme by studying diets and calorie counting. It was honestly making my life miserable. I already had enough responsibilities throughout the day, diets made me feel restrictive and feel like I'm in a prison. This book freed me psychologically and helped me focus on the important things I need to accomplish while enjoying food. I intake a lot more lower calories ironically even though I eat the foods I want. Now I'm more aware of how certain foods make me feel which makes me avoid the junk food over time. I highlighted the crap out of this book. I hope this clears up any confusion about eating. It can change your life.
