Liked it at first, but upon delving to more Trek, JJ Abrams' Kelvin timeline will look like a masterpiece compared to this. You will enjoy this if you think about it happening in an alternate dimension.

Makes you think more about our presence in the universe, how tiny we are relative to the infinite. Makes you realize that despite all the grand images and promising settings of space, love, meaning and passions only come with people around you. All those, and Brad Pitt's acting and the incredible visuals make this movie a worthwhile experience.
