What a pleasure to watch/listen to Willie Geist host Morning Joe without Joe and Mika. I quit watching Morning Joe years ago, and only by flipping through channels, have I been lucky enough to catch Willie Geist as host. I have written this before, yet Mika and Joe keep showing up. For several years I watched Morning Joe, since it’s inception actually, and his pursuit of Mika on live television was disgustingly apparent. She was just a pretty face, and Joe refused to allow her participation as his co-host. That has changed because his pursuant of her was successful. It has been painful to watch. There are several professional journalists on MSNBC who could take the place of Joe and Mika, neither who are very good journalists. Jacob Soboroff’s reporting is excellent, his coverage of the border is very good, and I loved his reporting on the water treatment plant in California. Yamiche Alcindor is very informative. I really like Chris Jansing. There are others. Nicole Wallace, Ari Melber, Katy Tur. Aymen Mohyeldin. Joy Reid and Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow, Lawerence O’Donnell and Brian Williams are favorites. They need to stay where they are. Joe and Mika are old news, and the only reason I am watching Morning Joe this morning, at 4:00 AM, is because Willie Geist is hosting. Get rid of Joe and Mika.
