I have only watched it up episode 8 (waiting for the rest of the episodes. I like the series but they drag it too much. The are just using the fact that we want to know more about the old characters, and if that's their only method to keep their audience hooked. Do they really have a story if we knew what happened? Can the new characters stand on their own?But they don't invest in their main/new characters. No real development, like Towa she feels really bland, like inuyahsaโs characters felt more real, Towa is just used to move the story forward , and the pearls are too. Like the episode where she just went from โno, don't killโ to โok, I gotta kill.โ Her feelings about killing just changed like that. They get power ups from the pearls, which gives them no training no hardships, just to move the story forward. So they drag the story, and don't give much development to the characters. Unlike the original cast, which is what Inuyasha is all about.
Like I don't mind that their plot is based on uncovering the past, but I find it unnecessary how they just provide a little peak and that's it, and then drag it. If they want to provide little amount of info, at least make your characters feel more real and give them more development instead of forcing them for the purpose of the plot. The only character that I feel that feels real is Moroha.
What I do like it's that I get to see the old cast from time to time, and I feel that regarding mythology and historical elements they really try to make it fit.I like the idea of having a ruler of the west and the east. The fact that I feel sesshomaru has evolved more. I like the fact that they make you wonder about stuff ( but they shouldn't base the story just on that) I feel that the more its reveled the more interesting the story will get. But I wish they did justice to setsuna ( making her way weaker, after getting more training than towa) and towa ( look I'm weak, but I just learned this, look how much stronger I'm than my sister) , like they do to moroha ( where she is strong but the are not afraid to show her weaknesses, and you could really see why she is the way she is).
