Pesci was so in character that I didn't even recognize him at first. (Oscar-worthy performance!) Excellent movie! Everyone was great--De Niro, Pacino, Paquin (as a little kid, what the?! what?!), Keitel, Ray Romano, Cannavale, Plemons, Maniscalco--is he from a mob family? (he's too good), etc.
One movie critic said the wife & daughter characters weren't given enough screen time or developed enough. However, considering the way Sheeran described himself--a selfish bast--- & the fact that it was about him being in the mob & killing so coldly. For them to not show more about the females fits in with that he wasn't paying too much attention to them in real life as it was happening.
And, frankly, how could you really pay much attention to your family when you're living a life like that?!
