I saw this epic movie first time with my parents and grandparents in the theater in 62 or 63 when I was 12 or 13. Very pro-American, as was that early Kennedy era. Very many huge stars of the time, contributing outstanding talents! 50 plus years ago, issues as today's.....were mostly emerging: nobody was talking about over development of the land, habitat loss for today's wildlife, treatment of our First Peoples, mostly GO go go! Get on with conquest, etc. Today the challenges are different and we embrace them. Fir its time, thus picture us superb. Lots of family values, emotional development and real lifesuspense to make it is real!
