A very, very good film noir. The characters pull you into the story and the New Orleans Jazz, pain, pathos, poverty coupled with corruption in high places, the crime as the only way out of misery, make for a compelling drama and cautionary tale. Excellent cast and storyline. Kudos to RZA. Masterful acting and storytelling.
