I took my 5 year old and she was thrilled. So many bad reviews but this is a kids movie, and the kids love it. The message remained intact from the original story, of good triumphing over evil and beauty comes from within, but some additions to the plot, so we don't see the random kiss from a stranger saving the day, there was a bit of a relationship build up, and she holds her own as a princess.

Great action, good entertainment if you can handle how strange it is that so many bullets can be fired and not kill people immediately. How can he get a shovel to the back of the head and recover after a few seconds? He falls in the water at the beginning, full of wounds and magically appears on a beach with an ambulance ready to helicopter him away to Dubai. It is just one nonsense scene after the next. The best thing about it is watching the continuous camera shot that goes in and out of Windows etc. Excellent way to film, if only it was used on a better film.. the physical action from Chris Hemsworth was obviously a lot of effort from him and credit is due but emotional acting from him was out of place. I'd say it's worth a watch as long as you know to expect a level of unrealistic immortality not unlike a comic hero movie.

The story is decent, not overly complicated, not too simple. Helen Mirran does a great job as usual. The whole "super assassin" is unrealistic but is on trend with all the other movies with the same theme, the main character can duck and dodge a bullet and kill a room full of people, I was prepared for that. However, Anna's character is stone cold! This might work considering she needs to kill so many people but it doesn't work when 3 people fall in love with her. Especially her relationship with the character Maud, who is warm and bubbly and gets zero reaction or conversation from Anna, it doesn't make any sense that anyone like that would put up with Anna. You could just erase her character from the movie and it wouldn't make a difference.

Corny quotes and ridiculous plot. Action is always fun to watch but they could have done so much better
