Love this show. Very accurate and hilarious depiction of what it’s like working in retail. Feel as though the writing may be slacking a little lately. Sometimes in the newer seasons I feel as though they’re trying too hard to make a political statement. I understand wanting to be politically and culturally relevant, but at the same time a lot of us watch these kind of shows as an escape. I don’t need to be preached at on every channel. One or two episodes addressing current issues is fine, but when politics starts to become the entire narrative in a workplace comedy about retail employees, it loses something. This is not your platform to push agendas. All we want is the comedy. Perhaps the writers ran out of ideas for storyline so they’re just using politics to push the story forward a few more seasons. I’m not sure. If it continues down this path, I don’t think we’ll be seeing this great show airing many more seasons.
