Karen Windom-Gatling

OPUS by Marc Anthony is an awesome album. The rich Latin texture of tight harmonies accompanied blended with syncopated rhythms and a strong, but relevant brass section tie everything together to create a beautiful project. Marc Anthony's lyrics are passionate, elegant, and heart felt. His voice is as strong and beautiful as his earlier albums. I think I love it more now that he's 51. The gruff in his voice is subtle, but adds a different, special kind of texture. Sergio George demonstrates once again why he is a multi-Grammy-award winning producer as he is Anthony's "Brain Editor" (from, Behind Marc Anthony's OPUS, iTunes, 2019) and does a phenomenal job translating Anthony's ideas and creating a musical masterpiece. I highly recommend this album. You will not be disappointed.
