I enjoyed watching this film. It may have been inspired by a Hollywood film called 2 Weeks Notice, but it is a creative copy, very different, very Indian.

The film is good, it is worth watching. Varun & Anushka have done very well in bringing the characters of young Mauji & Mamta to life. Mauji's father, played by Raghubir Yadav epitomises what it feels like to be a grade III clerk or peon in some government office. He has no self-esteem, and that is a big downer on the atmosphere in his home. Ghaziabad, on the outskirts of Delhi, is where they live. The problem in the film is with its fairy-tale ending. It happens too soon. One minute the whole family is returning with their dreams crushed once again, the next minute a fairy god mother transforms their their pumpkin-like carriage into Gold. They have won the contest, they get a fat prize cheque, and live happily ever after. For their acting, I would give Varun & Anushka 5 stars. For the film as a whole, 3 stars.

It is a good film - on the irony of Fate. In each of our lives, there comes at least one BIG life-changing moment when you are confronted with a choice. Often you get only a few minutes, or maybe an hour in which to make that choice. If you make the wrong choice, that's it -- your life will fall to pieces. But if you choose right, each day will be better than the last one... The music teacher in this film makes the wrong choice, and you get to see how he slowly, inevitably loses EVERYTHING which makes him happy.This is the irony of Fate. Often there are no second chances... A film worth watching.

I like it, the film makes for interesting viewing. I saw it again last week after many years, and still found it watchable & engaging. The format of the film is somewhat like city life in reality - many lives intersect with each other, there is much drama just under the surface, and we carry on keeping a cool exterior...
