Contains Spoilers The movie just doesn't work because MM [Michael Myers] is made a secondary character, and the story focuses on a young bullied man named Corey that kills people, Michael sort of takes him under his wing and teaches him, it's all rather odd. Also they film has age taking it's toll on Michael, whereas in Halloween Kills he's a beast that tears through people like paper, in this one he's very slow, and in one scene in the sewer a guy knocks MM down and Michael has trouble getting to his feet. MM is now an old aging fart trying to pass on the torch is the theme for most of the movie. At one point the new guy Corey goes to the sewer where MM has been living and beats MM in a wrestling match and steals his iconic Halloween mask, the writing is terrible. The last 17 mins or so is when we see Michael appears and faces Laurie and is killed. They dropped the ball on this one, I can certainly understand why the ratings were 57% dislike on Peacock, most people felt let down by the film altogether and I agree with them. The movie was terrible, I recommend the new Hellraiser on Hulu which is a lot better than this.
