This is not Shakespeare. You’ve got your typical formulaic ‘good guy out for revenge against the government’ narrative and I’m sorry but Chris Pratt’s performance is not compelling. Additionally, the lighting department took a big womp womp on this one and it’s difficult to watch during the daytime or near any windows. There’s only so many different ways you can tell the same special ops story without derivatives. Could have been done in 90 minutes and saved me 6 1/2 hours. Pratt is a talented actor, but not in this setting.
