I havenโt beaten it yet and tbh I donโt really think I will. At first itโs pretty fun I have to admit. Once you make your way outside you learn itโs a giant map with mission points. Running around taking fobs and rescuing marines. You get a tank pretty early on; donโt waste your time. The controls for it make it useless. But thatโs a small detail because after you take some fobs and rescue some marines you proceed to take some fobs and rescue marines. There are a few other side missions where you kill some stronger enemies with custom guns; itโs just the same thing over and over though. And then there are main story missions. Let me explain those real quick. The first one you have to raise pylons and blow them up to disable an excavation site. Also you need to disable the things making stuff by punching a control panel. So Iโve been playing for 12 hours and pretty much you just do what I just described but in different parts of the map. When your bored of doing that though, you can take fobs and rescue marines. They made a giant map to just nab collectibles and do the exact same thing over and over and over. On a brighter note, you can kinda turn the game in master rock climber with the grapple hook that never gets old at least.
Is it kinda fun? Yeah sure. Does it come remotely close to halo1-3? Nope. Worth $60? Absolutely not. So much potential here but they turned what was supposed to be an action packed rugged adventure into a grind fest more similar to a watered down WoW. I will say the game play is pretty decent though. But all in all, it just doesnโt cut it for me.
