It helps to provide insight into the perspective that is “life goes beyond our 80 year existence” and triumphs as we see them may have already been overcome and lost again … though with the help of the internet I think most modern day inventions are here to stay and not be lost but as I wrote this I have yet to finish the book so there very well may have been some ancient form of technology transfer that was lost in war or something catastrophic. A mind expanding read for sure.
