This is my most treasured childhood movie 😭💖. I keep rewatching it for the nostalgia, and also for the amazing acting, story and music (thanks to the amazing A.R.Rahman). The romance between Tara and Adi is SO GOOD. Dulquer and Nithya have such great chemistry. Tara was also such a relatable character. I also thought the movie flowed really well, esp with the added background story of Ganapathy and Bhavani. Their love story made me cry so much. Those two never bored me, in fact I was waiting to see more of them. I really feel like this movie paved the way for modern love stories in the Indian film industry. Leave it to Mani Ratnam to make films like these! 5/5 (if i could give it more stars I would). If you're debating on watching the film, PLS do. It'll change your life fr.
