What a great movie! The story is filled with caring for Elton John and does not flinch from portraying the characters around him in terms of what they meant in Elton John's life. They style is delightful, switching between straight biography and scenes where the story turns into a musical. I love that they didn't stick with just one conceit, is it a musical? Or is it a straight story? They switched to musical when they wanted to, and so got the best of all possible movies.
