I've been gaming for over 25 years. The gaming industry has gotten completely stagnant, loaded with cutscenes, hand-holding, and microtransactions. Along comes Valfaris; a pure loveletter to 90's arcade shooters, with the added bonus of jaw-dropping aesthetics and head-banging metal. It's where skill and mastery can get you through an entire playthrough in one sitting. I use it to calm down after a day at the office. To anyone bashing the game for clunky controls, it's not the game that's bad, it's you. GIT GUD.
