This movie can very well be related to "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Five Feet Apart". The plot is beautiful, and the characters have portrayed their roles very well. The movie also helped in spreading awareness regarding rare health disorders, Xeroderma Pigmentosum in this case, and in fact something I have never come across given I'm not in the medical field.
Maybe it's a spoiler alert, so if you haven't watched the movie, you wouldn't want to read beyond this part.
Honestly I could relate what Katie's father Jack had been through, given I had seen one of my close relatives do the same for his son. His helplessness is shown beautifully, and maybe I haven't seen it to this extent in any other movie, where he finally has to accept to let go of his daughter. As like in others, this movie as well ends with the two teens in the spotlight, but the final goodbye scene was pretty good and in fact tear-jerking.
Overall, it's a nice movie, and I'm out of words to describe any more of it.
