I wasn't expecting a blockbuster or anything but I got way less than I had anticipated.
To me it felt like a made-for-tv movie, something where they tried to cram as much as they could into the 1h 44m run time, and it felt much longer than that.
Loved all of the actors, they did a great job but most of them felt too placed, like they wanted to have them in the movie but didn't have a solid role for them. Monica Bellucci is a great example. She did a fine job, but her character wasn't very pivotal, the story could have played perfectly fine without her.
I wish they had stuck to a smaller main cast like in the original and a more flushed out storyline, one where the characters didn't feel like they were only on screen for a few minutes and then pushed aside so that someone else could have their time in front of the camera. It just all felt so rushed and sloppy.
