You can't deny that this film is well crafted, with excellent actors. However, the producers intention was to have the audience rooting for Oliver by the end, and the film didn't accomplish that for me. The relationships between him and Felix fell flat for me and I found myself not caring about any of the characters. If they had focused more on their bond over spending a ludicrous amount of time on the vampire scene, and the mirror vomit, the film could've been much more compelling. There are pulls from other, better works like Lolita with Oliver being an unreliable narrator, however, we did not need Olivers narration to further the film. It would've been better had it been omitted altogether.
