I don't understand what movie other people watched to say that this was a good movie. It's simply boring, the plot goes no where. There's no narrative arc and leaves you wondering what's the point of this whole movie. Even though people talk about this deep movie about a son looking for his father, there was not a single moment during the film that I felt any sense of emotion for the characters. The characters just feel flat and need more work. It's an insult to bring up movies like Interstellar, Gravity, and The Martian to compare Ad Astra too because to say the least this movie is light years away from being as great as those amazing movies.
