The movie runs about 70 minutes too long, with scenes that drag and donโt add much. Tom Cruise acts well, but the constant focus on his aging yet fit body, especially the unnecessary underwear scenes felt ridiculous. The emotional payoff also fell flat; it wouldโve been more impactful if Ethan Hunt had died instead of Luther. Fun in parts, but overall, a mixed bag.
