‘Ward No. 6’ presents the truth of the life of a mental asylum from which our intelligent and sensible society thinks it best to keep distance. Anyway, it is human nature that unless one's own house catches fire, a fire in someone else's house is considered a mere spectacle. Man has always seen the world through his eyes or rather, can see. The reality is that a person cannot understand someone's pain unless he experiences the same pain himself and to do so he has to go through that pain himself or his level of thinking has to be exactly equal to it. After reading this novel, if not more, then at least you will definitely be able to understand the lives of people who are going through the pain of madness. Thank you. Happy reading.
