I never write reviews, but I couldn’t let this one go. Congratulations DC, you managed to offend my entire family in one sitting. The amount of times my poor mother looked at me incredulously-STUNNED- by the constant barrage of stereotyping. It was atrocious. I was excited to show them the first superhero who truly shared our heritage, or at least was meant to. Now Im embarrassed I even suggested it. This was an insult. The writing was abhorrent, most of the jokes were cringey, but worst of it all it came off as inauthentic. Forced and therefore terribly executed. How foolish we were to forget that to Hollywood we are nothing but poor, idiotic, and uneducated. A quote from my mother: “No matter what we do. No matter what we have achieved. This is how they see us.” If this is all that you think we are, you are wrong.
