The film was brilliant and still ironed that you can watch over and over again whilst the soundtrack is a masterpiece. At the time of its release I was stationed at RAF Scampton and was a voluntary bandsman. I remember an occasion at Sheffield where the film was shown. We played during the day and we we allowed to watch the film at the press release in the afternoon before playing again prior to the official showing of the film in the evening.
