People, please stay away. It is not as good a movie as people say. Audiences have become accustomed to the poor quality of films they've been watching in recent years and have grown desensitized. The main storyline is good, but the writer failed to do it justice, losing the potential of a solid narrative. The movie could have been better if appropriate subplots or fillers had been used to support the main storyline. Instead, polarized ideologies are used as fillers, which do not reflect Tamil culture as portrayed in the film.
While the main storyline is excellent, the audience is forced to endure incoherent dialogues between drunk characters and the pseudo-ideology that has been promoted over the last few years by the film industry, social media, and political parties. Is the consumption of alcohol really part of Tamil culture? Was it ever promoted as something culturally acceptable? This movie exemplifies the old Tamil saying, "kodikkaran pechu vidincha pochu" (roughly meaning "the words of a weathervane go with the wind"). You will only remember the main storyline; the rest is just nonsensical dialogue from Karthik(jalikkuttu, chola,ev ramasamy crap) etc
