Could have been a really great show if they only focused on the Ed Gein story. The time jumps and plot points about movies and killers inspired by Gein were unnecessary and frankly confusing at points. There could have been mentions of them, sure, but to dedicate screen time to a character and story that isn't revisited just took from the show rather than adding to it. I really enjoyed the other shows in the "Monsters" and hope the creators will continue with the series. On the plus side the acting from the entire cast was phenomenal, the sets, props and costumes were very impressive and authentic looking and the lighting, sound and camera work are stunning all of which sets the tone perfectly, especially the earlier episodes.
