There is nothing wrong with this movie if you only look at the actors and cinematography. Otherwise, this script and directorial/editing choices ruin what could have been the first fulfilling and unique Batman movie since the Dark Knight. Firstly, this movie could lose 1.5 hours and lose absolutely none of the story and gain more impact. second, it’s almost as though they created this script in order to develop a trailer, not a movie. Everything said is in clips, not dialogue. Thirdly, there are many issues with Batman’s consistency as a detective; are we supposed to be impressed by his intelligence or is he a boomer on Facebook swayed by every opinion that is given to him In the moment? SPOILERS: Don’t get me started on the Arkham scene. They lost all character development in one swoop with someone who had been giving a fantastic performance.
