Missy Padilla Runyon

For a few hours of routine escapism, it's ok. Visually it's nice, the sets are rich and believable. However, most of the characters are complete caricatures with some shameless mugging thrown in, and the plot is very formulaic. Weak king who doesn't know what he has, mostly silent queen, spunky little sister, badass princess and her badass teacher/bestie. Throw in the bad guy trying to marry her and take over the kingdom, voila, there's your plot. The only kinda/sorta twist is his badass concubine who I initially thought was his sister. I would give this 2.5 stars if I could, but since I can't I'm rounding it up to 3.
