Season 1 is better and can hook many viewers even though still many issues. Character storylines and especially their backgrounds are void of any creativity. Then in S2 it goes flat in many ways. One example is that it never shows any other religions’ reactions to the events. What do Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, and other religions think & do? It goes off an assumption that the entire world is Christian. Also, how does Michael/Miguel age like 10 years? There are holes in the storyline and it doesn’t show the “other plane” where Lilith & Michael/Miguel go at all. Shotgun Mary just vanishes. There’s a girl named Yasmin from an offshoot sect of the OCS (Order or Cruciform Sword) Warrior Nuns, who talks about knowing the truth & helps become a big part of the show, however why we do not meet anybody else in her order? Overall, huge potential in a show that falls short.
