I'll start by saying I am an Elvis fan. I was fortunate to see him perform in person shortly before his untimely death. He was definitely one of a kind. Austin Butler did a fabulous job in his portrayal. What disappointed and surprised me was the amount of time the movie devoted to Colonel Tom Parker. So much so, that I think the title should have been Colonel Tom Parker....oh by the way he was Elvis' manager. Other aspects of Elvis' life and career were merely glossed over. How he me Priscilla and how he molded her into what he wanted her to be and look like. His movies that made some of his songs popular and then famous. The relationship that he had with his entourage. His stint in the Army. Just a few examples of some things that were part of his life and helped him evolve into the Elvis we all new. After reading many of the reviews...I can see that my opinion is atypical, but just saying.
