Wonderful book I'm halfway through it now and it feels as if I am living in the 14th century. Although the author provides a wealth of detail such as the price of various items at the time ( being old enough to remember £ s d, I couldn't resist adding up the total of the lists !!! ) this not a dry account of boring facts. He brings the period alive to the reader
